Simple and Cute

Here is an easy card to make, it's cute and way better than a store bought card. I love using the corner punch to make the scalloped edge. You can recreate this using any theme of paper. I also popped up the Fox, although it's hard to tell from this picture. It's a 6x6 card, the pink paper is
5 3/4 x 5 3/4 and the printed paper is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2

Font of the Month

I picked the font She Creature this month, primarily because I like the name and I think it describes how I have been feeling the past couple of weeks. I also think it's a fun font that would work for Scrapbooking and card making. Enjoy.

Scrap-n-Go!!!

Everyone knows we have Make-n-Take cards at our Embellishment Bar. OK, if you didn't know here is the skinny. We have a selection of different cards at our Embellishment Bar that are pre-cut and stamped, all you have to do is glue and go!!! And you can truly say you made the card.

Our talented Denise and Rachel came up with a fabulous idea to add to our Embellishment Bar, Scrap-n-Go!!! It's a 2 Page 12 x 12 layout that is pre-cut, all you have to do is glue and add your own pictures!!! And it's only $14.95. You have to come by and check it out. This is a great way to catch up on your scrapbooking. The last layout was a super cute Easter Layout, but supplies are limited so hurry in and make yours.

New Acrylic Albums!!!

OMG, so I'm super excited I just left the store and we got a huge shipment in of Acrylic Albums from Want 2 Scrap!!! And new shapes too, I can't wait to see what the girls are going to create with them. I'm sure there will be a new class soon. If you were wanting the Mickey Acrylic album we now have it. Also some new shapes include a Soccer Ball, Dress, and tabbed album just to name a few.

Pop-up cards

Sometimes I feel like I'm making the same card just different variations. I finally splurged and bought a book on different card making techniques. "Fabulous Folds For Card Making" has some great ideas. One of my favorite is the pop-up card, I have seen Deb make them at the store and she of course makes everything look so easy. They are so neat, they remind me of the pop-up books I had when I was a kid. So here is my first attempt at a pop-up card. Not bad, of course it's hard to tell in the picture. If you would like to learn this technique leave a comment and we will see about putting together a pop-up card class.

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse

Since I was born and raised in Santa Cruz I felt I needed to go back to my roots. Yep that's right you can Recycle, Reduce and Reuse in your crafting. Renee gave me the perfect challenge to prove that you can. For Saint Patties day she had got some decorations for the store, she had some left over and wanted them incorporated into a Scrapbook page. So I took the 3 clover decorations and did just that. This is a great way to reuse holiday or party decorations, especially for kids Birthday parties, it's not like you are going to have the same theme two years in a row.
