Check out these containers from Creative Imaginations, they are the perfect host gift. Just decorate them with your favorite paper and add a special bottle of wine or sparkling cider. They come in white and you can paint them and add paper to them to make them any way you like.

This one I used black acrylic paint, and the new Halloween paper from Creative Imaginations. And to spice it up I tied spider rings to the ribbon.
