Not just for binding…

One of the coolest tools around is the Zutter Bind It All tool. It’s small and compact. It's the key ingredient to binding your project into the perfect project. Whether it's wire bounding a chipboard book or binding some decorative papers, the Bind It All gives your project a perfect finish. It’s not just for binding…as the girls were playing around and made the coolest embellishment. So what’s the big secret…well, check out this picture below and see the paper that has the punched out edge. There is a punch for this but the Zutter has the same effect. Slide your paper in as if you were going to bind it. You’ll end if with just the holes. Once that’s done, take a scissor and cut a small sliver down the middle of each rectangle punch out, giving it the effect of the “journal” punch. This design has been really popular and know you can do it on your Zutter. Always cool to utilize a tool in so many ways then one…tip for the day!

Mention this blog and receive 20% off on your order for a Zutter Bind It All tool! We also have one in the store for you to try out as well!

"TAKE -n- Make" Class Kits...

Scrap -n- Stamp is now offering kits for you to TAKE -n- make at your own time and anywhere! Class kits are available on request with instructions and all the pieces ready to go! Even better, you have our blog to refer back to with nice pictures for each step (no black and white)...what you see is what your making :-)
Front Cover of the wordbook-glue down all the black lettering's to the book. The book should have hole already punched out to the left of each page. Take the "open" wire and place each page through the wire-squeeze wire close shut to bind the book.

Page two

Page three- Adhere to two square pieces along with the red mickey head as embellishment.
Page four- In order to get the "layered effect" you will need to take the black sheet and adhere it to the edge of the red piece the letter "K" on it (Hint: You will need to adjust the black sheet accordingly to make sure the "K" lines right up to the next letter. REPEAT this step with the remaining pages of the wordbook). Take the two bracket and glue down. Take the yellow part of the sun and place over the black and red section on the right page. With the larger orange circle as the center of the sun and the two small circle as the ears to mickey.

Page five - The large yellow rectangle is the sheet that goes behind the embossed red sheet of paper. Take the skinny striped polka dot trim and adhere to the overlap section between the black and the yellow sheet to the right. Mini file folders are embellishments (see below).

Page six- Adhere to yellow polka dot sheet. Take the red circle scalloped die cut and adhere. Take the mickey head and use as embellishment. The four corners can be paste on top of a picture to give it a "framed" look.
Have fun!

News from Imaginisce...

This was the message they sent to all the retailers...and we wanted to pass it along to you

"NEW Imaginisce Collection Availability Policy
Thanks to the increasing number of loyal fans like you, the Imaginisce brand is gaining momentum. Consumers are repeatedly visiting stores in search of the next fresh Imaginisce Collection. For example, Wild Things – a recent new release, was so popular that some of the items in an anticipated three month supply sold out in a single month. Place your reorders while supplies last!"

So with that said, I know customers have come back to us once they have purchased some paper they love but to only find out that it's gone or sold out. We noticed for us "retailers" the last year we have seen some big changes in the scrapbooking industry. Once a release comes out, whatever they make in production lot is it. They no longer "re-print" and whats out there...is out there. Boo-hoo for us, as some of the papers are so cute, we want to re-order and by the time we do...the paper line is sold out.

What does this mean for the consumers? See a paper you like, buy it and buy as much as you need before it's gone (no joke). Now a days, the new lines of paper only releases one lot (meaning-no reprinting). A part of me understands why...times have changed, so many lines of paper out there- if they print too much...then they have old paper (and who wants old paper). With paper releasing almost every quarter, vendors are reducing each print session.

We just wanted to pass on the news that we get to make sure you're informed. BTW: We still have both the Wild Thing and Teacher's Pet Line but it's going fast.

Happy paper shopping!
