2/25/08 - It's been a dream come true!

Hope all is well with everyone. Wanted to share a bunch of pictures with everyone on our ONE Year Anniversary Sale this past weekend (click here and it will take you to our Picasa Web Album) ! Thanks to Bob (our true life "Bob the Builder!" guy) for taking such great pictures and just always being there for us! (FYI: Below is Bob at CHA 2008 near the big Zyron drawing prop)

We had delicious treats for everyone (Thanks to my dear friend Christine for the yummy crown cookies and Kami for the delicious caramel corn). We had plenty of things going on...our hourly drawing give aways, the make -n- take stations and everyone got a chance to save 30% off the entire store. What a great day!!

When I look back this past year and reflect on how successful the store has been, the first thing that comes to my mind is...THE GIRLS at Scrap -n- Stamp: Debbie, Marilea, Chas, Becky, Denise, Sommer, Allie (and The "Boys" at Scrap -n- Stamp: Glen, Bob and Daniel)..ALL have made a huge impact to how great this venture has been. Without each and everyone of them and their unique personalities and their TRUE passion for this industry, I could not have done it. So from the bottom of my heart, I want the entire world to know how much I appreciate every thing they do and how they'll always be apart of me and my family! The true success is when you find and value those positive people that effect your lives forever. So THANK YOU to all the Girls at Scrap -n- Stamp for making this year one of the best ever. This is truly ONE great Scrap -n- Stamp Family! (Picture below from left to right: Becky, Denise, Debbie, Renee, Chas and Sommer. Not pictured: Marilea and Allie :-(

Also, a special "Thank you" to my cousin Tammy for helping me out in so many ways at the store. To Gregg and Julie for driving all that way from the bay area! And a BIG thank you for all the scrapbookers and creative people out there for supporting our store and making my dreams come true!

2/21/08 - NEW Crop-A-Dile's

Y'up...it has finally shipped, the NEW Crop-A-Dile by We R Memory Keepers. We should have it available on Monday, February 25. I know QVC had it already for sale...they always get it first! But never the less...us small retail stores have them and ready for your use! If you like to try it out, come swing by and we'll show you how it works. 2/19/08 - CHA 2008...What's HOT!

One word..."whew!" CHA (for those that are not familiar with CHA, stands for Craft Hobby Association; one of the largest scrapbooking trade show in the US). All I can say is, talk about a kid in a candy store! Everyone who lives life with a passion for "crafting" somehow needs to attend one of these shows at least once in a life time. Even though it's for retailers, distributers, etc...you haven't lived until you've been to one of these shows ;-)

So what HOT...in a nutshell: Overlays, Rub on's, Acrylic albums...and of course...NEW designs of the coolest paper. Quick look at one of the newest releases of Asian papers by Prima that we'll be getting in soon ! Prima has the coolest flourishes in "bling" and new paper flower embellishments! Check it out...

Another one of our favorite new line is by Little Yellow Bicycle called Zach's Life (being release in March). Here's a view of what Zach's life is all about :-) Wait until you see the next few lines coming out in the near future (being released unitl April/May/June)

Okay, so that's ONLY 2 out of literally 10 million lines out there. Imaginise was another favorite that we'll be carrying shortly. The Hawaiian Peguins are to die for! So, as I'm blogging along and still doing reaserch on other bloggers...I found this one website that actually took video footage of some of the major lines during CHA 2008. Check it out, it's pretty awesome...and if your like me more of a visual person, these little video clips are kinda cool!

So remember how I said, you have to go to a CHA (even if your not a retailer)..well, this is just as if you were there. Go to: http://www.creativexpress.com/nth/index.php and click on the vendor you would like to see and the clip will start, ejoy!

Oh, one last thing...Acrylic Albums were super HOT at CHA! We have had great responses in our acrylic classes and we have more lined up...so make sure to check out our class schedule.

Okay, so more to come on CHA 2008! Next blog...our BIG 1 year Anniversary Sale coming on this Saturday, February 23, 2008..."Scrap -n- Stamp...your KEY to opening creative ideas!"

2/18/08 - Biker CHICKS

Looking back at 2007 and hanging with The Girls at Scrap -n- Stamp...it makes me just laugh! We had some great times this past year and how quickly time has flown by...it's been ONE full year since we opened our doors. We're missing some ladies in the pictures...but this should explain our "wild" side ;-). Those that know Debbie (bottom)...will love the "biker chick" in her! (Top picture-starting from the left side: Marilea, Renee, Becky, Julie and Debbie)...notice the matching "tattoo's". And of course...yes, that's me (Renee-last picture)...the wind was all a part of the picture ;-). Didn't you know...I ride on the weekends (not!) ...Enjoy!

2/17/08 - Let the blogging begin!

Wow, this is my first offical blog as a "blogger!" Heck, didn't think this was such a big thing but after researching and looking at so many different blogs, I feel like I missed the whole phase of blogging ;-) So I've been told by my "VP of Marketing" (big title huh!), Ms. Becky (who works for us part time, her "real job" is a 2nd grade school teacher) that this is it...a blog! To let everyone out there know what's going on with me and the folks at Scrap -n- Stamp on a regularly basis (Regular? Nothing is very regular in this hectic and busy life we all live in, right?) So bare with me as I learn through all the new techniques to "blogging" and bring you what we've learned to be the latest and greatest of what's HOT in the scrapbooking industry with a bit of my daily life to add some flair to it :-), I'm assuming you all can see this and makes comments right? So let the "blogging" begin...Happy Scrappin'
