Time to "Slide" into Christmas!!!

Renee was so kind as to take these picture so all I needed to do was put in the text, Thank You Renee, you know my inability to download pictures. Well, it's that time of year again, the holidays are upon us. If you're like me, you're still shopping and making your holiday cards. If you are looking for a different type of card to send to your family and friends, the "Slider" card may me just what you're looking for. Not only is it a card but you can turn it into a gift card holder as well. Just place the gift card(s) on the pull out sections and the recipient gets a surprise on one side or both sides. Sign up while supplies last for this class in which you will be making two slider cards and get two blanks to create on your own.

Don't forget that we are having a special craft challenge for this month. It's the Stylish Stocking challenge where you come by Scrap -n- Stamp and pick up a paper stocking to decorate and return it to the store by closing on December 22, 2008. By doing so, you could win a goodie at Scrap -n- Stamp. The Girls are busy creating their own stocking for the store as well so come by to see what designs they have come up with. Please come by and join in on the fun!!!!

A Whimsical Holiday Night...

I was driving home one night and I noticed that the fog was bouncing off the street lights. It was so beautiful...you can almost feel the calmness surrounding you and it feels like a very whimsical winter night. If it only snowed in Elk Grove...a white Christmas.

Hold up, wait a minute...what am I saying. Ladies, come on now...the fog kills our hair, drags it down like there's nothing left. We can barely see on a normal night let alone this thick fog adding to our very stressful shopping day.

BREATHE...let's look at the dreamy scrapbook page again and remember the sense of calmness...

...so we can get through another day of FLAT hair ;-) T'is the season!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It sure has been COLD here! We had the first snow of the season on Sunday. It was just a dusting really. The kiddos played outside for hours. Our cat wanted to go outside. He was really curious about that cold, wet, white stuff. He finally did step outside but quickly darted back in - scaredy cat! LOL

I enjoy making handmade gifts and decorations for the holidays. I found a few blogs with some fantastic holiday craft ideas. Be sure to let me know if you make anything. Have fun!

Special HOLIDAY challenge!

For this month, instead of our monthly challenge that we normally have (we're giving Lisa a break)...the girls thought it would be fun to have a special holiday challenge. Come by Scrap -n- Stamp and pick up your very own "stocking" ready for you to decorate (it's a paper stocking, of course). All you have to do is use your creativity and turn in your "stylish" stocking in for a chance to win gift certificates and/or a goodie bag of products from Scrap -n- Stamp. Hurry while "stockings" last. Last day to turn in your stylish stocking by closing on Monday, December 22, 2008!

Here's the kit: a red stocking, the white section and
a little piece of patch work...

Assemble the kit anyway you like....

And add some embellishments and your own design and whoa-la! Submit your creative design today and win some stocking stuffers in your "Stylish Stocking!"
Multiple winners will be chosen by the Girls @ Scrap -n- Stamp. Winners will be announced the last week of December 2008! Good luck and have fun! Oh did we mention that kids over 5 years of age can enter too! Limit one entry (i.e. stocking) per adult and child.
