Memorial Day

Memorial Day is not just another excuse for a three day weekend. It's a day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice serving their country so that we and others may enjoy the benefits of liberty that they so much loved, protected and defended. This memorial day I'm remembering some of my fallen comrades: William Brennan, Christopher Johnson and Matthew Mattingly.

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies. (By Moina Michael)
